The military offers an assortment of educational assistance options. Some options are the Montgomery G.I. Bill, Post 9/11 G.I. Bill, College Loan Repayment, ROTC Scholarship and more. Programs differ branch to branch. Soldiers, Airmen, Marines and Seamen alike are all taking advantage of these education assistance programs. Some opt to serve their initial enlistment and attend college afterwards while others have joined the military after they have received their degree to have their loans paid off.
Some members of the armed forces take college courses while they are currently serving. The military even offers assistance programs for spouses and dependents.
