Becoming a member of the armed forces is a three step process.
First, you will need to find a recruiter.To find the nearest recruiter you can look online or in your local phone book.A recruiter is your best source in finding answers about joining the military and your military future.
The second step is taking the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery, better know as the ASVAB. The ASVAB is a multiple-choice test that displays your strengths and helps identify which military occupational specialties are best for you.
The last step in becoming a member of the armed forces is visiting the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS).Here you will get a full physical, select your military occupation, be sworn in as a member of the United States Military, and be assigned a date to leave for training.
