Electricians are people who like to work in many different environments – they’re definitely not “desk people.” They are a unique combination of personalities – they should be able to work on their own, and they should also be detail oriented about preparing for new jobs. They should be diligent about doing things the right way, because one of the unfortunate aspects of this popular profession is that it can be extremely dangerous. The danger can come from the work materials, the work environment, lost concentration, physical interference and even random natural acts like inclement weather. The more prepared and cautious an electrician is the better likelihood that they will avoid danger and injury.
Other personality traits that aid in creating a great electrician is an ability to work with a large team of trade contractors (such as crews that construct and maintain buildings), being physically fit so they can work in awkward areas and carry heavy loads, and the ability to communicate issues effectively.
